Wings of Angels Christian Academy was founded in 2018 by Yolanda Whitehead, a certified teacher and community educational advocate for underserved students and families. Ms. Whitehead saw hundreds of children fall through the educational gaps during her visits to many public schools as a substitute teacher. She realized there was a strong need to bridge the gap to education. Her overwhelming feeling of helplessness led her to establish Wings of Angels Christian Academy where instruction is provided and delivered in a non-traditional classroom setting. WOA Christian Academy offers small classroom settings, one on one tutor sessions with certified teachers, afterschool enrichment, individualized education plans and a host of educational services.
